Two Pen Pal Ministries

Long Island Youth Mentoring is looking for Christian men and women ages 21 and over who would like to be pen pal mentors. We have 2 ministries from which to choose. The first is King's Courier, which is letter writing to an incarcerated young person between the ages of 16-25. The other is Kid's Courier, where you agree to be a pen pal to a young person between the ages of 8-18 who is living in troubling circumstances at home or in an alternative placement outside of the home.

These pen-pal mentor programs help to bring the light of Christ into homes, jails, group homes and residential treatment facilities and provide hope for young people through caring relationships. Mentors agree to write weekly and all letters are channeled through the Youth Mentoring office so there is no need to give out your address. For more information on the King's and Kid's Courier ministries call Long Island Youth Mentoring at 631-242-5101 or sign up here; http://liyouthmentoring.org/want_mentor/register.html
